Millersville University Club Baseball brought home some hardware this past weekend,
winning the Toby Walker Classic Fall Invitational in Cortland, New York. The Marauders
finished with a 4-1 record at the tournament, earning victories over SUNY Oneonta,
Central Connecticut State University, Boston University, and West Chester University.
The championship victory over West Chester was especially meaningful, marking the
first time in several years that Millersville has defeated its in-state rival.
Pitcher Justin Eifert delivered dominant performances in both his starts against SUNY
Cortland and West Chester, throwing 13.2 innings while only allowing 4 earned runs
and 3 walks over those starts. Catcher and third baseman Liam Cook also had an
outstanding weekend at the plate, leading the team in nearly every offensive statistical
category and playing a major role in the Marauders' championship run.
