On Sept. 10, 2025, Millersville University’s Student Memorial Center hosted the 5th Annual ComMUnity Fest. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., students, faculty, and staff had the opportunity to engage with local businesses and food vendors throughout the day. This is one of Millersville’s signature events, as it allows local businesses, non-profits, and more to engage with students and connect with potential future customers.
Vendors this year included: Tropical Smoothie, Honeygrow, Cactus Cafe, Tanger Outlets, Decade’s Amusement & Fare, Kitchen Kettle Village, Sheetz, Friends of the Railroad Museum, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Regal Cinemas, PSECU, Occasions DJ, Align Life Ministries, Duck Donuts, Kona Ice, Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, Members 1st, 3 Monkeys Inflatables, and more.
Students, faculty, and staff were offered numerous free samples. These ranged from free granola samples from Honeygrow, free small ice cups from Kona Ice, donut hole samples from Duck Donuts, free posters and popcorn from Regal Cinemas, and so much more. Most tables consisted of different coupons for discounts on purchases or coupons to get completely free items once used.
Two vendors, Koshary Station and Cactus Cafe, came to sell food from their restaurants to those attending the ComMUnity Fest. Koshary Station offered $15 meal boxes, which consisted of koshary, beef shawarma, moussaka, Egyptian rice, and Egyptian salad. They also offered drinks and desserts, ranging from hibiscus lemonade, baklava, macarons, and dubai chocolate. Cactus Cafe sold tacos, horchata, burritos, as well as chips and salsa, with a condiment bar of onions, cilantro, and hot sauce.
Last year alone, Millersville’s ComMUnity Fest saw over 35 vendors and 600 attendees. Millersville University offers early registration and regular registration for vendors, with different prices for retail vendors, table vendors, and non-profit organizations. This year registration started July 1, 2025, so be on the lookout for registration to the 6th Annual ComMUnity Fest around July of next year.
