Morgan Wallen announced his “I’m The Problem” tour and album via Instagram on Jan. 24, making this his fourth headlining tour and fourth studio album. Wallen then simultaneously dropped his lead single, “I’m The Problem” on Jan. 31 in preparation for the album.
The stadium tour is set to kick off on June 20 in Houston, Texas and conclude on Sept. 13 in Edmonton, Alberta California. Wallen’s previous “One Night At A Time” tour, is currently the highest-grossing country tour of all time, with a staggering $300 million dollars in revenue and 3.1 million attendees, which broke his own previous record, set by his “Dangerous” tour.
While this tour is significantly smaller, with only 20 dates in 10 cities, it is still a stadium tour that will help promote the two-time Grammy-nominated album.
Wallen’s career really took off during COVID-19, when he saw massive success with his second studio album “Dangerous: The Double Album.” He went from being an opener for Luke Bryan on his “Proud to Be Right Here” tour summer of 2020, to headlining arenas less than a year later. Showing the magnanimity of his quick success, due to album hits like “Heartless,” “7 Summers,” “Wasted On You,” and many more.
Wallen has had his fair share of controversies throughout his career, with his scandal of saying racial slurs and throwing a chair off of Eric Church’s rooftop bar, in Nashville, Tennessee last year. This hasn’t halted the country star’s ever-growing career yet, it has only magnified it, as “One Thing At A Time” has almost 500 million streams on Spotify, allowing Wallen’s career to reach heights only country stars few and far between achieve.
While an official release date for his fourth album hasn’t been announced yet, it’s implied that the album will drop sometime before the tour starts.
