Morgan Wallen finally announced his highly anticipated 37-song album tracklist. Wallen announced his album and tour in January of this year, but kept many details about the album a secret, such as the length and release date. However, on Mar 20, Wallen announced via Instagram that his fourth studio album, “I’m The Problem,” would be out on May 16.

Over the past week, though, social media has grown to speculate that a possible collab between “Greedy” singer Tate McRae and Wallen is highly possible. This speculation received mixed reviews, with some fans being excited, while others were disappointed in McRae, given Wallen’s past controversies.

On April 16, Wallen released his official tracklist featuring a multitude of collaborations on the album. Most of these were unsurprising, such as Ernest, Hardy, Eric Church (who were all featured on his previous album, “One Thing At a Time”), and his most recent collaboration, Post Malone. But the highly speculated collab with McRae was confirmed through this post.

She will be featured on the fourth track, “What I Want,” as shown in a sporty font, which seemed like an ode to McRae’s most recent album, “So Close to What,” which encapsulates a sporty vibe throughout the whole album.

A country collaboration isn’t the most shocking thing for the pop star, as she had brought out Megan Moroney at her Nashville, TN show on her “Think Later” tour. The pair sang Moroney’s 2022 hit single, “Tennessee Orange.” McRae’s fan base had an overall very positive reaction to the duet.

However, the upcoming duet with Wallen has not been received as well as the pair had anticipated. McRae had posted a picture of an orange TM jersey with an MW emblem on the neckline a day prior to the announcement, which Club Wallen then sent to their fanbase, hinting at a collab for the two. This immediately prompted backlash from McRae’s fans.

One user on X said, “This is disappointing and Tate McRae should be ashamed of herself collaborating with a racist is WEIRD.

Underneath Popbase’s post, while other fans were saying, “What’s going on? I didn’t see them criticizing Post Malone, but when it’s about a woman, they complain. You are just misogynists.”
