Since 2002, Millersville University has welcomed its oncoming students with their Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony. The gathering is a celebration of the passing of the torch from one generation to the next, as new students and old gather aroud the pond to light each others candles, spreading their warmth and spirit. The marching band plays music while attendees sing along with the choir to the University’s alma mater, bolstering the sense of camaraderie and unity amongst the Millersville community.
