Marauder Music is bringing their performance series alive for the fall 2025 semester after hosting an event on Sept. 26. This performance highlighted student musicians Jillian Dolan and Kelly Feldman. Both performers also contribute to other bands, as Dolan is a part of Barkley Cove and Feldman is a part of Alter Ego.

Marauder Music has been putting on this performance series for three semesters now.

“The Concert on the Quad started initially last year and we had a show every month of the semester which would then be led by an organization member,” wrote Marauder Music president Hayden David. “As for this year, we have brought this monthly event back very similar to how it was constructed last year.”

To host an event for consecutive months, preplanning and outreach become an important factor to ensure the event can be put on.

We are lucky to have such an amazing team this year that really tries to put their all in outreach to performers, to event scheduling with on campus procedure, to general effort and enthusiasm to see the organization flourish,” wrote David. “Ultimately a lot of the work before the day of the show happens week to week and pretty slowly. But on the day of the show we then ensure that we follow our show schedule, allowing for all the acts to go smoothly.”

Marauder Music can also be seen performing at other events throughout the fall semester, including the Asian Night Market on Oct. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m., the University Activities Board’s Fall Fest on Oct. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m., a Halloween show on Oct. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m., and two more Concert on the Quad performances on Nov. 8 and Dec. 5, both running from 6 to 8 p.m.

“I would encourage any and all musicians who would like to get themselves out there and perform for an audience,” wrote David. “We here at Marauder Music would love to receive a message on our Instagram or email for any inquiries regarding performances at future Concert on the Quad’s.”

Marauder Music is a club that prioritizes professional development, music production, and promotion of independent musicians across Millersville’s campus.

“You don’t have to be a music major to join! We encourage ourselves to be as open and inviting to all students on Millersville’s campus,” wrote David. “Our goal is to make a fun collaborative space for students to learn and interact with professional aspects of the music industry (which can then be translated into other non-music-based fields students could be interested in).” David also shared that an upcoming meeting will include a full live studio recording of music with a professional local band, as well as recording a full music video in the following weeks. To hear more about the organization, you can find Marauder Music on Instagram @mvillemm, reach out to their email, marauder.music.productions@gmail.com, or visit their Get Involved page.
