Harry Styles has finally made his return to music since his last studio album, “Harry’s House,” released in May 2022. A club vibe lead single, and an upcoming release in March, what more could you want from Mr. Styles himself?

Well, obviously, a tour. However, despite his most recent tour, “Love On Tour,” ending in the summer of 2023, he has not done a full-length tour throughout different cities in multiple countries since the first leg of “Love On Tour” in 2021.

Many fans were hoping that, after an almost four-year hiatus from music and another three from touring, this time around, he would do a full-fledged tour, allowing fans all across the globe to have the opportunity to see him. As his fan base has grown significantly since 2023.

However, that is not what Styles chose to do; he opted to tour like a K-pop idol, visiting only one city per country and performing multiple nights in each city. While in theory, 30 nights in Madison Square Garden doesn’t sound like a bad idea if there were other options around the U.S., this wasn’t after a three-year hiatus, and Madison Square Garden didn’t have a capacity of only 20,000 guests.

As you can imagine, trying to get tickets for the tour was an absolute nightmare. Some people got really lucky, while others were stuck waiting in queues that were over 400,000 people long. Not to mention the face-value standard ticket prices were outrageous, with some lower bowl tickets being priced at over $1,000.

However, the lucky few got the $400 pit tickets and the tickets under $200 in the upper bowl. Those people were few and far between; you had to be under 5000 when placed in the queue to get that lucky. Liking popular artists in this day and age is almost like a humiliation ritual because of how unattainable their tickets are, or how outrageous resellers charge once almost all the Ticketmaster tickets are sold out.

Former One Direction band member, Zayn Malik, even threw shade at Styles during a recent Vegas show, saying, “Hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high.” As artists do have a certain amount of control over how much their tickets are priced at. Malik and another bandmate, Louis Tomilson, are currently on tour, and their prices are nowhere near close to Styles’.

I love Harry Styles just as much as the next person; heck, I even have a Harry Styles tattoo. But these tickets are just not attainable or affordable at that. Despite all of this, I’m still super excited for his new album, “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally,” to come out, and I loved the new single “Aperture” and can’t wait to hear it on a night out.
