Women’s basketball reaches NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships
As Millersville University slowly emptied for spring break, the women’s basketball team was headed for California, Pa. to face West Liberty University in the first of three NCAA Atlantic Regionals.
Coming off a double OT loss to West Chester University, the Marauders had dropped to No. 6 in the division ranking. Guard Carrie Sheffey said that the loss “was pretty heartbreaking. We beat them twice in the season.”

The Millersville women’s basketball team defeated rival Cheyney University at home in Pucillo gymnasium last Wednesday. The 75-64 win was a meaningful victory for the team. Earlier in the season, Cheyney handed the Lady Marauders their only loss in what would otherwise have been a 12-game winning streak.
