I am graduating in May; and, in lieu of anything philosophical or summative, I want to be practically honest with you—for I think that is my most significant contribution. Too many students graduate without having been honest about their concerns and hopes.
Ending marks a new beginning
One of my favorite songs is “Closing Time” by Semisonic. Besides it bringing back memories of singing at the top of my lungs at Jacks, it also has a verse that strikes me as meaningful: “Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.”
