`Ending marks a new beginning
One of my favorite songs is “Closing Time” by Semisonic. Besides it bringing back memories of singing at the top of my lungs at Jacks, it also has a verse that strikes me as meaningful: “Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.”
Four year reflection
So the time has come and it feels like high school graduation just occurred. I?remember being excited to move on to the next chapter of my life and here I am finishing it up. I?am excited to move on to the next chapter but nervous about what awaits me. Life after college leaves so many more uncertainties.
Choose your future choose, choose life
Before I plunge into the icy waters of the ever looming ‘real world,’ there are a few things I would like to say, and a few people I would like to thank.
“You say goodbye and I say hello”
Goodbye always seemed like a harsh word to me, and I prefer the Lennon/McCartney phrase, “You say goodbye, and I say hello.” Whether it is hello fortune-500 company, or the more realistic, hello job listings in the morning paper, I would say goodbye is putting a period at the end of a sentence that should have, as Zach Braff explains in Garden State, “an ellipsis.”
Experiences beyond the classroom
As I look back over my years at Millersville University, I can hardly believe how the time has flown by. It seems like just yesterday that I was driving to Millersville for the first time, taking in the strange, new scenery. I remember moving into Diehm Hall and learning how to share a small room with another person. I still have an old copy of the campus map somewhere, which I used to carry around with me to find my classes.
Snapper well worth the time and effort put in
When I transferred to Millersville University in the Fall of 2006, I still had a lot to learn. Through numerous classes and personal experiences, I have come a long way in the past two and a half years. One thing that I learned that I still don’t quite understand is that, for some reason, people really dislike The Snapper.
