The Marauders once again came up short losing 76-68 in the last game of the season against Mansfield Saturday afternoon. The loss ends Millersville’s season with a record of 8-19 overall and only 3-11 in conference play. The team also ends the season losing four straight games as well as a dismal 1-9 in their last ten games.
The Millersville women’s basketball team defeated rival Cheyney University at home in Pucillo gymnasium last Wednesday. The 75-64 win was a meaningful victory for the team. Earlier in the season, Cheyney handed the Lady Marauders their only loss in what would otherwise have been a 12-game winning streak.
Millersville men’s basketball head coach Fred Thompson posted his 200th career victory on Saturday as the Marauders defeated the Bloomsburg Huskies in dramatic fashion. For the third time this season, Millersville found themselves needing extra minutes to decide the outcome of a game as they won in overtime 61-57.
The Millersville women’s basketball team beat out the only other previously undefeated team to cinch the top spot in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division this past Saturday.
