Lady Marauders
Only two days after a victory over PSAC rival Kutztown University, the Millersville women’s basketball faced off against Shippensburg Monday night in Pucillo gymnasium.
The Lady Marauders took possession of the game from the beginning. Raquel Green got things started by quickly putting up four points within the game’s opening three minutes. A foul by Isabel Scott of the Shippensburg Raiders on Ashley Moyer only added to the Marauder’s score. Moyer’s two points were a warning to the Raider defense. She went on to score 13 points in the first half alone.
Field hockey rebounds after tough losses with two wins over the last week
After a few tough games last week, Millersville turned it up a notch this week.
Men’s soccer keeps the ball rolling with more wins
It was a Jekyll and Hyde type of week for the Marauder men’s soccer team as they defeated East Stroudsburg 4-0, and then had to stage a comeback against Gannon to win 3-2.
Men’s rugby back to their winning ways after hot start
The Millersville Rugby team extended their win streak to three games over the weekend with a 25-16 victory of Drexel.
Women’s soccer stumbles to halfway point of season
The Millersville women’s soccer team fell 3-0 to Slippery Rock, marking the fifth time in six games the Marauders have been held without a single goal. The last goal from the team came nearly two weeks ago, when the Marauders defeated Shippensburg at home 1-0 on September 19. The most recent loss to Slippery Rock dropped Millersville’s record to 2-8 at the halfway point of the season.
Football looks to put last two weeks in the past
Things are beginning to look like 2008 for Millersville football team, and that’s not a good thing. Millersville’s defense crumbled again on Saturday as the Shippensburg Red Raiders took it to the Marauders during the first night game in Millersville since 2007.
Volleball team young but talented
Millersville’s Women’s volleyball team notched their first victories of the season this past weekend as they played host to the Dutch Country Spiketacular on Saturday.
Football can only get better
The 2009 football season for the Millersville Marauders is underway. Opening the season on the 28th, The Marauders hoped to improve from their one win season a year ago. They traveled to Worchester, Massachusetts to take on Assumption College.
Men’s soccer looks to build upon record 2008 season
The Marauder Men’s soccer team had a very successful 2008 campaign, going 18-3-1 and reached the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Men’s Tournament where they tied Northern Kentucky 1-1 but eventually lost in Penalty Kick’s 5-4.
