Earth Day: The Significance of April 22nd

Earth Day is designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. It is celebrated April 22 of each year. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in 1970, and marked the beginning of the modern environmental movement.

Student senate to host Safety Day

Student Senate’s Safety Committee is gearing up for its annual Safety Day event. The event is a way for the Safety Committee to teach students about safety issues on campus. These issues range from drinking to sexual health, all promoting the committee’s mission to ensure the safety of students.
