A lot can happen in a year and new Track Coach Scott Weiser is finding that out.
After joining the Millersville track team as the assistant coach in January, Weiser worked under Coach Andy Young and helped to create a name for Millersville track on a national level. After he joined the program the Marauders sent the largest group of outdoor track athletes to the PSAC championships in the teams recent history.
The Marauder cross country team had back-to-back Saturdays of the most important meets of the season, the PSAC championships on Nov. 1, and the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championship on Nov. 8.
The Delaware University Blue Hen Classic on Saturday, Oct. 18 was a crucial meet that would set the pace for the rest of the Millersville Cross Country team’s season.
The heart of the Millersville women’s cross country team has been awarded PSAC Women’s Cross Country Team Runner of the Week for the second time this season.

On Saturday, September 20, the Millersville cross country team went head-to-head with top ranked competition at the Dickinson College Long-Short Invitational. The Marauders men’s team combined to finish fourth.

Hurricane Hanna brought heavy winds and torrential rain on Saturday, September 6, but the weather didn’t stop the Millersville Cross Country team from participating in their second Annual Alumni Meet.
The Millersville Cross Country team has been talking about this upcoming season, since Winter. This is just one example of the their increased level of commitment approaching the new season.
Both the men’s and women’s teams are in preparation and read to get another season underway. Coach Andy Young has seen “A significant increase in their commitment.”
