Lacrosse improves despite losing tough game to East Stroudsburg
Saturday, April 15 the Lady Marauders traveled to East Stroudsburg University to face the Warriors. The game left the Marauders disappointed. ESU defeated the Marauders 14-7.
“The team played better, improving in our draw control possessions and playing fairly even with ESU in caused turnovers and ground balls,” the head coach, Barbara Waltman said.
Hobbs Hall Strives to be Greenest Dorm on Campus
With over 500 pounds of bottle caps and 86 ink cartridges collected, Hobbs Hall is the greenest dorm on campus.
Graduate Assistant Josh Belice and Resident Assistant Julie Hughes took a trip to Montreal. They visited the Botanical Gardens and the BioDome to see how different parts of the world are becoming more environmentally friendly. All the RAs in Hobbs encourage their residents to use just five minutes of water while showering. That means turning the water off while you wash your body, or while you wash your hair.
Lacrosse battles Kutztown and West Chester
On Wednesday, March 31 the Lady Marauders stepped into Kutztown Bear territory. This matchup was a turnaround for the Marauders. They came out on top with a win of 11-10.
This was the only game that Millersville played on natural grass. “We had difficulty making the adjustment to the grass surface but were able to come out with a victory,” head coach Barbara Waltman said.

This past Saturday, March 26, the Lady Marauders got on the field to meet their opponents, the Gannon Golden Knights. However, the outcome of the game was not a happy one for the Marauders.
MU Helping Paws Goes Whale Watching
MU Helping Paws is the only animal awareness group on campus. Helping Paws helps students who love animals get off campus and give them the opportunity to volunteer their time to helping local animal shelters. Last semester they volunteered with Mt. Hope Horse Rescue, and are hoping to volunteer with them next semester.
Women’s lacrosse struggles with turnovers
Last Wednesday, March 17, the Millersville women’s lacrosse team traveled to Shippensburg to face the Raiders. The outcome of the game would only sadden the Marauders, with a loss of 12-5.
The Lady Marauders walked into the game with their heads held high. “Going into the game I thought it was going to be a sure win if we played to our potential, but not [a win] that was guaranteed to us,” said Brittney Long, who was the top scorer for the Marauders.
