The third ranked Millersville Men’s Basketball team hosted the sixth ranked Shippensburg Raiders on Saturday night in a first round matchup of the PSAC Tournament. The game was close for a majority of the first half until the Marauders started to pull away with three minutes left and led by 11 points going into halftime with the score 35-24. Millersville took control of the game in the second half, and completely dominated on both ends of the floor. They led at one point by 15 and never trailed; as they went on to win 79-69, their first win in the tournament since 2008. The Marauders were led in scoring by Anthony Coleman who had a career high 36 points, shot 13-18 from the field and was 10-13 from the free throw line. The Raiders were unable to stop him, as he erupted for his third thirty point game of his career and was on fire the entire game. Elijah Obade chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Nate Bollinger also scored 10 points. Turnovers proved to be a factor in the contest, with the guys converting 21 Raider turnovers into 24 points. While Millersville only turned the ball over eight times which Shippensburg converted into five points. Both teams shot just above 40 percent for the game with Millersville at 43.6 percent and Shippensburg at 41.8 percent. The Raiders were led in scoring by Joe Lococo, who had 21 points and shot 5-14 from the field. Dylan Edgar contributed 15 points and 12 rebounds; while Tyhiem Perrin scored 14 and grabbed six rebounds. With the win, Millersville advances to the second round of the PSAC Tournament. They will travel to West Chester for a quarterfinal matchup with the Golden Rams on Tuesday, with tipoff slated for 7 P.M.
