MU bookstore is the bane of our existence

Josh Doe

Students and professors need to work together more in deciding what textbooks and other materials are going to be used in the classroom. We live in a democracy after all, don’t we? So shouldn’t students have a greater say?

Labor-Less Union

Competition isn’t always a good thing. You’re just eating up the idea that everything in life should be competitive. Just to let you know: Terrible idea.

Movie Preview: “Precious”

Cathi Daniel

Watch your wording? Did you read the book? Every page was filled with bluntness. It was brutal and beautiful and full of hope about how a person can endure sustained torture and still have the desire to be better. The girl is obese and she is black. What is offensive about that? Sometimes being blunt is the only way to affect change, make an impression that moves people to action and is clearly understood.

Marquesha Risper

I feel that “Precious” is a great movie except on the part where her mother throws the baby, on that part it makes me want to cry.

Riana

Yea, this was nice and everything but you really need to watch how you word things. Yes its true but starting off the review with “A black, obese, 16 year old…” is very disrespectful and ignorant. I am pretty sure that there were other words that could have been used to not make it so blunt!! Especially if something like this were to be published and viewed. A lot of people will be offended by this and I am sure you didn’t have any bad intentions but just watch your wording!!

New Singer Raises bar for country music

Tracy O’Callaghan

Thank you for your awesome article on Jordyn. Its amazing to me how her hometown newspaper does not even mention her.
She is an inspiration to young on old. To have accomplished what she has already at her young age says a lot about her.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Mike Serafin

Okay relax with Carrie Underwood. I think the point is that the big stars who are older are losing some of the spotlight. But anyways, Jordyn has some awesome music, and I really think she will be big one day. (Hopefully soon), just so people can see how good she is. Great article by the way. You did a nice job of showing how creative she is. I hope to see some more articles from you!
