Find that place. The place where color, race, gender, sexuality, or religion, do not exist.

Enter the mindset where your life is dictated by your actions, and not by the personifications of others. Not some personification developed by the writers on BET or VH1. No. This life goes far beyond the social norm.

From the moment the doctors announced, “It’s a boy or girl!,” this individual decided through the complex operations of synapses that they would truly be an individual. They would follow their heart, and theirs only, disregarding assumptions, misinterpretations, or underrepresentation’s.

A life, personified by faith in oneself, not to be confused with narcissism, as this person is merely following his or her own path. There is no such thing as the real world, as a true individual looks beyond that which is supposed, only focusing on what they want things to be.

All too often, we forget that this person is us, entangling ourselves within parameters set by our peers, regulating our daily actions to fit into these expectations. Yet and again, we forget that we all are individuals, who all have the freedoms guaranteed by the conjoined efforts of our ancestors. As such, we reserve the right to be who we are, whether these actions may consequentially categorize us, or place us into “groups.”

Nevertheless, regardless of choice, never forget that your decisions do not automatically make you the epitome of anything, one way or another. Always remember: Do Y-O-U, without regard to others, because there is only one “U” in yourself. And that’s Kenny’s two pennies.
